Educational Qualification
- Must be a Law Graduate from a recognized University.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in conducting criminal cases/service matters.

Job Profile
The selected candidates will assist the West Bengal Police Department in:
- Examining writs and applications.
- Drafting replies, circulars, SOPs, and legal documents.
- Reviewing legal cases and judgments.
- Providing legal opinions on departmental issues.
- Attending courts/tribunals including High Court, WBAT, NGT, CAT, etc.
- Preparing reports and suggesting legal actions post-judgments.

Contract Terms
- Engagement is purely on a contractual basis.
- Fixed monthly remuneration of ₹40,000.
- No additional allowances or benefits.
- Maximum of 14 days paid leave in a year.
- Contract can be terminated with one month’s notice by either side.
- Legal consultants must not take up any case they worked on during their tenure post-contract.
Selection Process
- Applications will be scrutinized and shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview.
- The interview will be conducted by a three-membered committee:
- Two senior police officials from WBPD.
- One official from the Law Department, Government of West Bengal.
