About WBSRLM and the Role

Key Responsibilities

The Consultant will be entrusted with the following tasks:

  • Assist and report to the SPM-SISD in planning and implementing social development projects.
  • Provide mentoring and on-site support to District and Block Mission Management Units.
  • Support training programs for Resource Persons in Gender, WASH, Nutrition, etc.
  • Monitor the functioning of Vulnerability Reduction Funds and Sangha-level operations.
  • Supervise the disbursement and recovery of loans at the community level.
  • Conduct training and capacity-building sessions for Sangha officials.
  • Perform regular field visits (10-15 days/month) for monitoring and support.
  • Document field activities and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.

  • Develop MoUs, contracts, and manage relations with NGOs and support agencies.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Social Sciences or Social Work from a reputed institution.
  • Specialization in Gender, Food & Nutrition, or Health will be an added advantage.
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum 7 years in state-level organizations or supervisory roles in social development projects.
    • Hands-on experience working across various districts and with SHGs.
    • Prior experience with vulnerable communities is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs).
    • Strong command over Excel for table creation and analysis.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Fluency in Bengali, English, and Hindi.
  • Leadership:
    • Must have managed a team of at least 10 people.
