UPSC EPFO 2025 Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
The eligibility for both positions is quite inclusive, as candidates with any bachelor’s degree are eligible. There is no requirement for specialized qualifications or experience, which makes it perfect for fresh graduates or early-career professionals.
The age limits, however, vary slightly between the two posts. For Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer, the upper age limit is 30 years for UR/EWS, with relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST. For the APFC post, the age cap is 35 years for general candidates, and similar age relaxations apply.
The PwBD category candidates are also eligible for extended age relaxations — up to 45 years for APFC posts. This clearly reflects UPSC’s commitment to inclusive hiring, allowing fair chances for candidates from different backgrounds.

UPSC EPFO Application Fee & Selection Process
The application fee details are yet to be announced in the short notification but will be available once the detailed advertisement is released on UPSC’s official portal. Based on previous trends, it’s expected that male General/OBC candidates will have to pay a nominal fee, while SC/ST/PwBD and all female applicants may be exempted.
As per UPSC’s standard procedure, the selection process will likely include a Written Test followed by an Interview. EO/AO and APFC posts generally require candidates to undergo a rigorous objective paper with questions on general studies, labour laws, reasoning, current affairs, and Indian polity. Those shortlisted will be called for the interview stage.
This two-tier process ensures only the most competent and well-prepared candidates make it through. UPSC’s transparent and standardized evaluation system adds more credibility to these coveted roles.
