Eligibility Criteria & Responsibilities for TISS 2025 Posts
1. Senior Program Officer
- Qualification: Master’s in Social Sciences, Disaster Management, or Environmental Science.
- Experience: Preferably with a background in policy research, evaluation, and coastal livelihood issues.
- Skills: Data analysis, SPSS, GIS mapping, report writing.
- Responsibilities:
- Lead survey design and planning.
- Guide field teams and manage documentation.
- Liaise with stakeholders including MSRDC, Govt. officers, and fishermen.
2. Research Officer
- Qualification: Master’s in Social Sciences, Environmental/Natural Science, or M.Tech.
- Experience: Similar domains as above, especially fieldwork and policy research.
- Skills: Survey coordination, GIS, SPSS, Excel.
- Responsibilities:
- Field survey execution.
- Team coordination at district level.
- Ensure data quality and reporting.
3. Research Intern-cum-Field Investigator
- Qualification: Master’s in Social Sciences or Disaster Studies.
- Skills: Interviewing, data collection, and fluency in Marathi.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct household/community surveys.
- Maintain detailed field notes.
- Report observations to officers.
