The apprenticeship is offered for a fixed tenure of one year with a monthly stipend and will be filled through a written test and document verification.
The recruitment aims to create a panel of eligible candidates, valid for two years, to fill 28 existing vacancies. The written test is scheduled for June 10, 2025, followed by certificate verification on June 11, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria, Age Limit & Application Process
Candidates must ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria as of May 1, 2025, to apply. The minimum qualification required is a degree from a recognized university or its equivalent. Applicants who have already completed any graduate/general apprenticeship at SCTIMST or other institutes are not eligible to apply.
The maximum age limit is 35 years as of May 1, 2025. However, the following relaxations are applicable:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwD candidates: As per Government of India norms
Only one application per candidate will be accepted. The entire application process is online. Candidates need to register on the recruitment portal rect.sctimst.ac.in and fill in all the necessary details, upload a passport-sized photograph, and submit the form.
No hard copy of the application is to be submitted at this stage. However, a printout of the system-generated application form must be brought at the time of certificate verification.

Selection Process & Admit Card Instructions
The selection of candidates will be based on a written test conducted at Thiruvananthapuram. Admit cards for the test will be available on the official website starting June 7, 2025, after 4:00 PM. It must be downloaded using the login credentials created during registration. Candidates will not receive admit cards by post.
Only those who qualify in the written exam will be called for certificate verification on June 11, 2025. The following documents must be presented at the time of verification:
- Signed printout of online application
- Matriculation certificate
- Degree certificates and mark lists
- Valid caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) or Income and Asset certificate for EWS
- Disability certificate for PwD candidates (if applicable)
- Any other relevant documents as specified
Candidates must note that submission of incorrect information or failure to meet eligibility at any stage will lead to disqualification. Also, requests for corrections in the application form post-submission will not be entertained.

- Multiple applications will be summarily rejected.
- The admit card does not confirm final eligibility; it only allows provisional entry to the exam.

- The apprenticeship is non-renewable and strictly for one year.
The reservation norms will be strictly followed in accordance with Government of India rules. One post is also reserved for Persons with Disability (Deaf and Hard of Hearing).
