To be eligible, applicants must satisfy both educational and age requirements:

- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 24 years (as on application closing date)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: up to 10 years based on length of service

Selection Process for RRC SWR Apprentice 2025
The selection process is based strictly on merit, calculated from:
- 50% weightage of Class 10 marks (aggregate)
- 50% weightage of ITI trade marks

- Older candidates are given preference
- If age is same, preference goes to earlier matriculation pass-out
Once merit is finalized, shortlisted candidates must undergo:
- Document Verification
- Medical Fitness Examination
Candidates need to produce a Medical Certificate issued by a Government Gazetted Doctor (Assistant Surgeon or above). It should confirm:
