Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), one of India’s major ports located in Kutch, Gujarat, has announced a Walk-in-Interview for the recruitment of 10 Marine Pilots on a contractual basis. This opportunity is open to qualified Indian nationals who meet the eligibility conditions outlined in the official notification (Advt. No. GA/PS/1220/Cont.Pilot/2025). The engagement will be purely on contract for Kandla and Vadinar Pilotage operations.

Eligibility Criteria & Contract Terms [DPA Pilot Recruitment 2025]
Educational & Professional Qualification
- Must hold a Certificate of Competency as Master of foreign-going ship issued by the Ministry of Shipping.
- Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience as Master/Chief Officer on foreign-going vessels.
Age Limit
- Maximum: 65 years

Deendayal Port Authority is offering three types of payment structures for Marine Pilots:
Scheme I: Daily Allowance Basis

- Travel allowance: Reimbursable up to Rs. 20,000/month.
- Minimum availability: 15 days/month
Scheme II: Per Movement Basis
- Retention Allowance: Rs. 3,000/day
- Day Pilotage: Rs. 4,000/act | Night Pilotage: Rs. 6,000/act
- Length Bonus (600+ ft): Rs. 2,000/act
- TA up to Rs. 20,000/month
