Eligibility Criteria for CSIR-NIO Apprentice Posts

Interested candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

Educational Qualification

• Technician Apprentices: 3-year full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in the relevant field from a recognized board or institution.
• Graduate Apprentices: Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Additional Eligibility Conditions

• Graduation/Diploma completion years: 2020 to 2025.
• Must not have undergone or be undergoing apprenticeship training in CSIR or any other organization.
• Candidates must not have one year or more job experience.
• Only regular courses are accepted. No part-time, distance, or certificate programs will be considered.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The age limits are as follows:

• Diploma Holders: 18 to 24 years
• Graduate Degree Holders: 21 to 26 years

Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per Government norms:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
• PwD Candidates: Up to 10 years (13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST)

Registration Process on NATS Portal

To apply, candidates must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal:

• Website: https://nats.education.gov.in
• After registration, a unique Enrollment ID will be generated. This number is mandatory in the application form during the walk-in interview.

1. Go to the NATS portal.
2. Click Student > Student Register.
3. Fill in the application form.
4. Submit and note the Enrollment ID.

Walk-In Interview Details

Candidates must appear for the interview with the following documents:
