The walk-in test is being conducted on two separate dates based on engineering disciplines. Candidates in Electronics, Computer Science, and related fields should report on 04 July 2025, while those in Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical-related streams should attend on 07 July 2025. Eligibility Criteria and Important Instructions for BEL Apprenticeship 2025
To ensure only qualified candidates apply, BEL has outlined clear eligibility norms. First, the candidate must be a domicile of the Southern Region of India. Second, the engineering graduation should have been completed on or after 01 January 2021. The maximum age limit is 25 years, with applicable relaxations for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwD candidates (10 years).
In terms of academic performance, General and OBC candidates must have secured 60% or above, while SC/ST candidates should have at least 50% marks in graduation. It is important to note that candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training, or those who have acquired or are pursuing higher qualifications, are not eligible.
The selection will be purely merit-based, determined by the marks obtained in the written test. The list of selected candidates will be published on the official BEL website after the test.

Facilities, Documents Required, and Selection Process
BEL offers a comprehensive support system to its apprentices. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹17,500, which includes government contribution through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). In addition, apprentices are eligible for canteen and transport facilities on a chargeable basis, free outpatient medical services at BEL hospital, and a Group Personal Accident Insurance policy with a sum insured of ₹5 lakhs.
At the time of appearing for the walk-in test, candidates must carry original copies of the following documents:
- SSLC/10th Marks Card
- Degree Certificate or Provisional Degree Certificate
- Aadhaar Card
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PwD), if applicable
The test will be held at BEL’s Centre for Learning and Development (CLD), Jalahalli Post, Bengaluru – 560 013. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the test, and reservations will be applicable as per government norms.
