Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Arunachal Engineering Service Examination 2025, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in the respective discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Civil Engineering is required for most posts.
- For Assistant Engineer (E/M), qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, or Computer Engineering are accepted.
- Final Year Students: Candidates appearing in the final semester/year may also apply but must produce proof of passing before the interview.
- Age Limit: One-time upper age relaxation applies:
- General: Born on or after 01/01/1989
- APST: Born on or after 01/01/1984
- PwBD and Govt. employees: As per Government rules.

Selection Process
The selection process will comprise the following stages:
1. Recruitment Test (If applicable)
If the number of applicants is high, a Recruitment Test will be conducted consisting of:
- Paper A (General Awareness & Logical Reasoning) – 100 marks
- Paper B (Technical Subject) – 200 marks
2. Mains Examination
The Mains Written Exam will include:
- General Paper (English, GK, Aptitude) – 150 marks
- Technical Paper I (Descriptive) – 150 marks
- Technical Paper II (Descriptive) – 150 marks
- Viva Voce/Interview – 50 marks
Total Marks: 500
3. Document Verification
Candidates must present original certificates at the time of the interview. This includes:
- Educational certificates
- Age proof (10th certificate)
- APST/PwBD certificate
- Employment NOC (if applicable)
How to Apply
- Candidates must register on APPSC’s One Time Registration (OTR) portal at https://appsc.gov.in
- After registration, fill the online application form and upload the necessary documents:
- Recent passport photo
- Signature
- Educational certificates (self-attested)
- Age and identity proof
- Caste and PwBD certificates (if applicable)
- Submit only one application. In case of multiple submissions, the one with the highest RID will be accepted.
- Application Fee:
- APST candidates: Rs. 150/-
- Others: Rs. 200/-
- PwBD candidates: Exempted

Special Provisions for PwBD Candidates
PwBD candidates can request a scribe and extra time as per norms.
Disabilities considered include Blindness, Deafness, Locomotor disability, Cerebral palsy, and others.
